HGV Tyre Fitter and Mechanic

Hopkins Estates Ltd are looking for an experienced tyre fitter and mechanic. You will be working with a range of vehicles from vans, trucks, plants and agriculture. You will primarily be involved with the haulage side, looking after our fleet of 21 tippers.

You will work closely with the transport manager to keep the company's tyre management system working effectively and legally. Other work will include maintenance of trucks (rewiring beacons, fitting CBs, fixing side guards etc), servicing of plant and agricultural machinery and agricultural tyre changes/repairs. 

Job Requirements:
Must have previous tyre fitting experience
Must have mechanical knowledge
Must be keen and enthusiastic 
Able to work well with others and as part of a team
Undertake out of hours roadside tyre change work
Ability to carry out work in the workshop and roadside unsupervised
REACT Licence essential but training can be given
Category C+E licence desired but not essential
 

Working Hours
7am – 5pm but must be flexible to suit roadside tyre changes
Occasional weekend work

Licence/Certification:
Drivers CPC (preferred)
HGV Class 2 Licence (preferred)
